A Breath Away

Once, we lay so close in arms, in hopes the night ne’er passes. One mind in thought, one life entwined, as darkness’ blanket falls. I feel my love, mere breath away, her loving curves outlined, Drenched are emotions in our love, each beat my heart recalls. It seems long past our time together, too soon torn from my presence. Your gentle touch is but a dream, my heart yearns for its embrace. Lonely thoughts drift through my head, for I am lost without you. I dread this day with you not here, I...
