The Dogwood

The Dogwood The cardinal loves the white dogwood tree And the royal blue jay, well he does too Viewed from my porch swing they sit now and sing As usual all my thoughts return to you I know you loved the white dogwood as well Although you are gone and have taken wing The dogwood tree is still red, white and blue The faithful birds have stayed and they still sing I don’t know if they came looking for you Or if they came today to comfort me Either way I am grateful for their stay I am grateful for...
