something from long ago

SOLDIERS Wounded soldiers, remembering long battles, battles lost, never won. Unable to help each other, Bleeding blood that won't mix. Wearing armor, full of holes, Yet believing, indestructible. No call for help, no forward march, possum by day, lightning rod by night. No mail from home, no medals on their chest, heroes in no one's eyes. Different plans, different time, results the same. Joining forces with different plans, different time, Victory could be theirs. Kent Phalen Sign in to see full entry.
