Harbor

I wrote this late last night. It's the holidays, so I'm up nice and late every night. (Inspired by “Harbor” by Vienna Teng.) “It’s okay. I promise.” Her eyes looked down at me, spine curled to stare deep into me as I lay on her lap, the tough park bench beneath us giving it’s generous strength to us both. “But…” I never had to say much, and she always understood exactly what I needed to say.
