Imagine
I'm still amazed to think that $10 can save a life. Malaria is the number killer of children (especiallly children) in Africa. Ten dollars can give a child a mosquito net treated with insecticide preventing the spread of malaria. As you think about Christmas this year, think about a life that can be...

It's Done!
Right or wrong, the assessment is done. I've emailed it to the office. My appointment for next year probably hangs on that assessment. I don't want to move. But, it is done and turned in one working day before it is due. Thanks for your support.

Personal Assessment
This dreaded assignment is due Monday morning. I am on the downward side. I put it off as long as possible - working on it only occasionally. Why is it I work better under pressure! Hopefully when I'm done with this, I can be more intentional posting. Take care and God bless you all.

Five murdered in small town
Horror struck a small town in central Illinois. Beason residents this afternoon learned of the murder of five of its citizens. Beason has a population of about 200 people. A three-year-old girl survived. Apparently a suspect is being sought, but a motive for the murder is unknown. As one might...

Generous Heart
This is from a Bible study I've been leading. I thought it worthwhile to share. Hope you enjoy it, too From Disciple 2 -- "What should they bring? A freewill offering. God's house must be built from the generosity of the heart. If the one who set the stars in the heavens wants a tent, it must be...

I Must Be a Turtle
If "slow and steady wins the race," I must be on target to be a winner. I need to complete that self-assessment within the next couple of weeks. I think I'm going to make the deadline. It has been a challenge. Still working on issues from last year. Will I ever be able to say I met my goals?

Progress is being made
It has been a struggle as you know. But I wanted you to know I am making progress in the personal assessment. I still don't enjoy doing it, but I'm working at it (in my spare time). In my spare time, I'm also working on my novel. However, last Saturday (my Saturday off) I did a funeral, attended the...

Just Do It
Thanks, Sam, I made up my mind to "just do it" (the self-assessment). Problem! I filed last year's assessment on the computer and can't find it. Second challenge? I can't find this year's form - which I filed on the computer. Maybe, I'm not meant to do an assessment. I don't think I'll get by with...

One thing I hate to do
Every year I have the distinct privilege of reviewing my life and my "job." Following the review I get to write up an assessment. How well did I do reaching specific goals, etc. It is a process I must do, but I really hate doing it. It seems as if it is more paperwork. I understand the reason why I...
