What are "Practices" Anyway? For a sufi, practices consist mostly of breath work combined with Holy phrases that vibrate your physical being in ways that clear you to be a clear channel of The One. Another whole area of work has to do with developing Mastery through exercises on concentration and... Sign in to see full entry.

I am drunkish

True I am very altered but not by booze. I think that drinking in moderation is fun. Tonight, I was around enough alcohol to kill a horse full of stables. Or is that a stable full of horses...ah yes, that sounds better anyhow, even if it makes just as little sense. So what a wonderful Lasagna dinner... Sign in to see full entry.

My Spiritual Pedigree Continued

As a teenager, I was encouraged both by my local church and by my parents to explore going into the ministry (Presbyterian). But what really opened me up to that as a vocation, was reading the book, A Man Called Peter, by Catherine Marshall. She tells the life story of her husband, the late, Peter... Confessions of a spiritual hypocrite

These are my spiritual credentials and my journey toward The One: I was raised by two profoundly devoted, yet liberal Christian parents, who for the most part got along wonderfully, and who practiced what they preached quite well. When I was in the 2nd or 3d grade, I made the life altering decision... Sign in to see full entry.
