I am in the mountains of the state of Uttarakhand, in northern India. It's a lovely and special way to the end 2008 and ring in 2009. I started this blog in mid-March 2006 when I moved to Kabul, Afghanistan, for a four-month assignment. In mid-July I moved back to India, and am continuing the blog.
