DAM BUILDING The not so gentle art, Dam building, obstruction, Delaying water’s natural course, An interference with Nature, Few of man’s acts so obvert, Staunch the flow, flood the land, Create an entirely new habitat, What arrogance, from where right, To engage in such folly large, Ah, folly is the character of man, To carve our presence into land, Nothing is ever the same, Once it has felt the step of man, Now I am guilty of this transgression, For dams two I have build, The first by a...
