RAIN ALL DAY Rain it did today, all damn day, Sometimes hard, other times soft, Bloody rain anyway, rain, go, go away, It is damp and musky, can’t paint or carve, Confined am I, rain, rain, rain, Come back another day, no walks, no fires, Even the birds are walking, all is gray, thundering, Incessant hammering, drops like spit on hot steel, An explosive hiss, then more, singing in the rain, What a clown, where is the sun and my fun, Watched Victory at Sea, now that’s desperation, Rain it did...
