Patchwork Trying to peel away layers of scab From her lover's covered soul, She was one of those Who needed to love and unequipped to drive imposters Back into their breeding darkness. About this Blog

My poems, short stories, and articles mostly deal with my experience as a survivor of domestic violence. I've been divorced from my abuser since 2002 but the control issues haven't stopped. Many people think the abuse stops when the victim escapes but the opposite is true- the violence often escalates and sometimes ends in fatalities. My hope in posting my writings to my blog is that other women will read them and realize that if they're involved in an abusive relationship it's important they get help a.s.a.p.
