A Child

Her body shakes She gasps for breath Her eyes are red Her cheeks are wet She feels unloved She plugs her ears She will not hear The noise she hears She wished for peace But was denied She wanted truth But she lied She can’t look back What’s done is done She cried for love But there was none.
