The South and North of Cyprus is halved into two separate places since the war. I have had many holidays in the South with it's beautiful sandy beaches and it's hot climate for some years now. Last August we spent three weeks in my parents apartment living like Greek Cypriots or at least we were trying to, because the heat was sometimes unbearable.
