The Dog Boy Leader of the Pack When I lived in Rio de Janeiro there was a gang of street kids who ran together and survived by any means necessary, as Malcolm X had advised so many others to do. It was a compact gang, I usually only identified about six kids as members. Dog Boy, I called him, was Alpha. They were all black kids, which has nothing to do with color really and everything to do with economics in Rio. Their parents had all probably beaten or sold or horribly abused them into running...
