An ALTERNATE HISTORY... TV news on the occasion of US military entry into Baghdad showed an elderly man dancing and waving the flag. He told the reporter 'I am happy. We are Americans!' You'd expect as much because any other country that conquers another usually absorbs all or part of it into the "homeland' Perhaps the world thinks that some of those conquered people and places aren't good enough to be part of America. I thought, What IF America did as other countries do: annex the conquered to an Imperial America.
