It's been too long since I've posted anything here. Mostly it's been because I've had absolutely no good news to report on my stocks. They've been up, down, sideways and well, mostly down. I've weeded out a few losers and bought a few winners and according to Gainskeeper on Scottrade, my losses are... Sign in to see full entry.
I was pondering that this afternoon. I just came in from being outside, raking old leaves, picking up twigs, doing general winter clean up and yes, having a wonderful time on a gorgeous 40 degree day with azure blue skies and twittering birds. If I could have any job in the world, what would I... Sign in to see full entry.
Almost EVERYTHING has been in the red on my Scottrade account, and that's never a good sign. And once again, I got greedy, and did not jump out of my uranium stocks when they were soaring high. Both have crashed, although both are still in the green from where I got in, so I have not lost a thin... Sign in to see full entry.
It's true. Uranium has done amazingly well lately. I have one that's up 160% (URIX), and a new one (that little ultra speculative stock I've mentioned before) that's up 15% (NWTMF). An unheard of little energy (oil) stock is up almost 3% (EGY), and well, the majority of the rest of my stocks... Sign in to see full entry.
That little ultra speculative uranium company that I bought 310 shares in is now creeping back into the green and definitely turning a profit. (Life is good -- for the moment.) And the other uranium company has now made me 105% profits. So now the question is this: when do I get out???? I think... Sign in to see full entry.
All but one of my stocks crashed on me yesterday. I think they took a nosedive in the vicinity of 3% or so of the total value. Today they're pretty much all creeping back up, so I am assuming that people cashed out yesterday and decided to take some profits. Holy cow! It just goes to show the... Sign in to see full entry.
I've actually done this before -- bought and sold futures options. I say options, since I'm not into risking thousands of dollars (that I don't have). So I buy an option -- either a "call" or a "put" -- and if the commodity is "in the money" then I can sell it and make a profit. That happened before... Sign in to see full entry.
Yup, pure speculative trading at its best. I bought 310 shares of a penny stock that is (seemingly) little substance and probably about 99% speculation. This little mining company with two paid employees to its name is obtaining options here and there to mine uranium, gold and silver. Uranium is... Sign in to see full entry.
I have sold off a few stocks, ones that I felt were in a general slump but that were still profitable for me. In other words, I made a bit of money and now am itching to spend it. What to do! There's a stock that has been bandied about as being a huge keeper. AAUK -- my mom bought in at $35.27 not... Sign in to see full entry.
My uranium stock (URIX) was up just over 16 1/4% today, and one of my oil stocks was up almost 6.5%. Cool! It does make one a bit schizophrenic and crazed watching the lurching about of a stock as it meanders through the day. Since I'm always home on Thursday (or make that, always off work on...
