Hello.
I'm a parish priest in the Norwich Diocese in Norfolk, UK. I'm responsible for six rural parishes on the Norfolk/Suffolk border and for a further two 'redundant' churches. All eight churches are medieval so steeped in history. Also steeped in damp, cold and inconvenience. Only one church has a church hall with amenities. One other has a loo and a kitchen sink. None of the others have any amenities at all and the two redundant churches don't even have electricity. We have a candlelit carol service at both of these, which is romantic and atmospheric - and freezing.
I'm female, married to Ed and have three grown-up children. Between us we amass seven grandchildren, the youngest of whom is three and the eldest of whom is pregnant with her first child.
I have had a book of 'Children's Stories' published Click here They are based on the Revised Common Lectionary - the series of Sunday readings followed by the world's mainstream churches - but can also be read without any reference to the Bible.
I'm currently working on a novel about church life from the point of view of the clergy, which I hope to finish soon.
