I don't care what anyone says, unless it is a life or death reason, 6.30 am is too early to phone anyone. It is just rude and yes selfishly self-centered. Obviously these people don't understand how writers work. I have spent half a day and then on into the night writing when it is really working for me. One doesn't need to be woken early if they have just fallen asleep.
