Looks like the kids' holiday break will last a few days longer, thanks to the predicted ice and snowstorms around here. The tv is already posting closings for Monday - senior centers, medical facilities, schools, and Sunday services at lots of local churches were cancelled on Friday in anticipation of dangerous icy roads. Stay cozy.

Well I hope you get enough for your traditional leap into the snow.
'What do you mean, you old muffler.' Well when I first came here you
showed a picture of yourself having jumped into a heap of snow.
Always a worry these days again one cannot forget the frailty of existences.

Good Morning
Happy New Year! I still have my tree up and I'm enjoying the beautiful lights. We have so much snow and it's very cold. I hope you stay warm and enjoy your day.

Hope the girls arrive safely. We always kept our tree lights up until Jan 6, Little Christmas, as my mom called it. Didn’t get to much Christmas decorations this year, dear.

I tend to be someone who is ready for the decorations to put away after New Year's as well. Nowadays, with the Christmas season occurring before Halloween, we do see them for a lot longer.

I'm really not sure how I would handle a flight taking that long, especially flying over the ocean. 
We took our tree down yesterday. John loves Christmas, so he is good with not taking the tree down too early. I'd take it down the day after Christmas if it were up to me. I'm sure you will hear from them soon. Enjoy your evening and stay warm.
