Well one only has to look on Amazon flogging books at 90p to read on Kindle.
I think it is better to just write for one's own pleasure or sanity.
I did look after my mother for seven years and the only way I could
stay sane was by inventing a small town and the characters became live.
There was nothing else when one had no other contact. You know the feeling
when you lose someone and they are still alive.🌺🌺

Kabu....
......That publisher stuff seems almost like a scam. There's got to be a better way.  But who am I to say?  I've never published a book.

A great family guest you had there...I'm sorry to hear the publisher did not do much for you. It seems like the publisher's are more or less unintentionally driving people to give up using them, causing people to go the self-publishing route.

I had similar results when I did some self-publishing 15 years ago, and although I have another novel finished, just never felt like trying to market it. Maybe someday "they" will find it on my computer and decide to publish or make a movie of it. Your guest sounds amazing, here's wishing her safe travels when she heads back to her far-away home.

Sad she has left. Sounds like a lovely person. A shame about the publisher ripping you off! Very sad. That’s why I never published I guess…  You will have fun writing the next section of your life. Looking forward to it, dear lady.Â
