Well, you and Wiley were the first to welcome me. Of course, in those days you wore a mini skirt. Men here walk around in short trousers, these days. We have our groceries delivered and the odd milkman has survived by delivering edibles. We are fed up with politics, there is supposed  to be more  crime and yet one rarely sees a policeman. If I go up what used to be a small; market town there are all nationalities, once I knew everyone by sight.I would tell you a rude joke, but I expect you know them all.🌺🌺

We have a great support system here on Blogit with friends from all over the planet commenting on our posts. John and I still communicate with high school friends. Being an ex-military family, we moved around frequently but John and I stayed in touch with other military families we met in the 1980s and 1990s. We still talk on Facebook, visit each other when passing through their city, and a few of us still send Christmas cards to each other. It's great to see how much we have changed yet remained the same through the years. Regular smile

Good Afternoon

Kabu, I enjoy your posts and love to write too. Blogit is a nice place for all of us. I love reading about your adventures.  I often wonder how Trish is doing and hope that someday she can come and visit you.

I agree with you - and Taps - the writing itself can be fun. The connections here are very important to our mental outlook. I think working to make connections and put a story together - fiction or a story from our lives - is good exercise for our brains, too.  Red heart

Kabu....

......I totally agree with you.  It is fun to write whether anyone reads the stuff or not.  I used to do it with paper and pencil, then I graduated to my little clackety clack typewriter.   Then I got a nice electric typewriter, and finally a computer with a box of paper and roller which I used before I finally got internet.  But the fun of that was just the fun of writing.
