Of course we understand, sweet lady. You have the heart of a nurse and it is a beautiful thing. I’m sorry they took Wiley from you but I am glad you and Him now have a life together and you are there helping him to stay well. Remember to look after yourself as well.

One thing most women I know have in common - we need to serve a purpose. A job, a family, and after retirement some volunteer work. Clearly that purposeful instinct is even stronger in nurses and medics. Thank heavens!!!

You have done a great job putting your nursing skills to use for the people you care about. You are such a blessing to Wiley's life and to Jim's life now.

Good Afternoon
Kabu, thank you for sharing your story. I hope that you live many years together. I'm glad that you and Jim have built a life together. I'm also glad Jim has you to take care of him when he needs you.

Good afternoon
I have heard that about nurses. My mother works in a long-term care facility in Human Resources. She is surrounded by nurses with varied degrees. My two oldest girls were CNAs for a brief period, but soon found it wasn't their niche. My mother-in-law was an LPN who still attempts to give nursing advice. Thank goodness he is under your constant care. He is in good hands.
