I am not sure why but there was heaps of poison Oak in Canada where i lived. Every year i would collect more stone ...some large ones... from behind the brass into the woods. I never once felt anything harmful to me. I brushed against all that stuff but it never hurt me. perhaps being from Australia I was immuned or something.
