Good Morning
Pat, thank you so much for sharing your sister's story. I really enjoyed reading about her life. She was definitely a strong woman. I hope you have a good day. Our rain has finally stopped and now hopefully everything can dry out. The yard is a muddy mess.

Tough times indeed, I do believe many of those women enjoyed working and getting paid through those years; it would have been tough to give up paid work to go back into the kitchen.

Good morning
I enjoyed reading your version of your sister's wartime story. The women were strong, smart, and amazing during that unexpected time of uncertainty. My maternal grandparents shared a similar story to your sisters. The women were tough, raising their babies and not knowing if their man would return home. It would be hard to not be proud of the women who took over for the men while they fought for our country.
