Pat, I'm really loving this story. I was thinking maybe he should get on a bus and find a safe place. He may have a bug in the car and it will be easy to follow him. If he gets on a bus he can sleep until he's rested and figure out where to go from there. I think that girl he was with might have been into something that the two suits think he knows about.

Oh goodness me. Mate, it is time to get outta Dodge. trade the car in at the next big town and buy something older, something you can sleep in and keep watch. Drive at night sleep during the day. Gotta get away from these killers and now even the police may be looking for your car.

I'm picturing everything in that story happening at the same arctic temperature and black ice slickness as we have this morning. I'll bet it wasn't written with that in mind.
