A quick little tale . There was a large Workhouse in this small town. It catered for the tramps and also children. My Dad was friendly with one of the boys, remember they left school at
about 13 years old. This boy from the workhouse always had a lump of cake for his lunch.
My Dad always had a couple of slices of bread and dripping and a large slice of bacon.
So they always used to swop over as it was a change to the normal fare.
I don't know which I would have gone for.🌺🌺

Kabu, it sounds like you are having a good day! I hope you stay inside where you are toasty warm. I'm glad the contractors showed up to do some work. Tell Mr. Graysome that Sadie is going through the same thing with contractors in her house too.

Every once in a while, the weather channel shows what's happening in Omaha and I think about your posts on what's happening there - keeping fingers crossed that neither of our areas get big bad messes to deal with. Nice to have breakfast out when the workmen are making noise in the house.

Good afternoon
I am not a fan of the snow due to it making people crazy. Everyone automatically runs to the store, cleaning out shelves, and leaving nothing for others. I love the beauty of snow falling on the tree branches and on the ground. I just don't like the way that people behave when they hear that it is coming. Stay warm and have a lovely day.
