I'd particularly put mean smiles out in the bin. Sloppy, sentimental ones, too.

Good Evening

I love to smile!  I've always tried to greet people with a smile.  I think sometimes it makes all the difference in a person's day. I'm still working on breaking down boxes for recycling. Happy New Year!

Sometimes, as we push our shopping carts through the aisles of the grocery store, we are met by grinches and grouches and folks focused on their shopping lists, or that mean thing someone said to them just before they got here, or overdue bills or suspicious aches and pains or politics or religion or...  At any rate, if you hand them a smile, these preoccupied with their own worries folk may deflect a smile with a snarl.  Perhaps that inventory you cleared out of the smile display room will find its way out into the world and do some good.  Peace.

A smile makes all the difference. When I was nursing I learned how to smile through tragedy. it wasn't my tragedy I had to tell myself. I would try to wear that smile for each patient and leave me breaking heart to fend for itself. It is amazing how much a smile would make a very sick person feel less afraid.
