I remember Harold Walgers father had prostate cancer at the time he died of 95. He'd had it for a while. The doctor had said he would die of something else due to his age.

My best friend's grandmother has had lymphoma for a while. Because it's slow moving due to her age (she's 88), they won't want to risk trying to treat it and kill her.

Re: Pat

I think he is going for the new treatment which takes a couple  of days. One has to weigh it against being in hospital more often and risk catching something else.🌺

My son recently had prostate cancer surgery. It's anything but a picnic. He's doing follow up tests & slowly getting his energy back. I hope your dear one has good results, too.

prostate cancer has to be removed along with the prostate as soon as possible. men aren't happy about it but that cancer can creep into other parts of the body and cause terrible pain and misery. Once it takes off it is mostly terminal. Dr's tell men otherwise because no one wants to lose their prostate. OK I bullied both the Dr. and Jim into the op. when I first got here and he hasn't looked back. Has a blood test every six months and all clear.
