Lola sounds like such a treasure. Wonderful it is when we bond with animals.

I'm glad to read you're feeling a lot better.

Good Evening

Kabu, I love this post.  When I lived on my Grandparent's farm I had a duck.  I would carry the duck everywhere I went.  I was little and the duck followed me wherever I went.  We were best friends.  There was always water close by but the duck wanted to spend time with me.  I hope you have a wonderful evening.

Good evening

This is such a sweet story. Animals are not dumb by any means. They tend to pick out their special human and bond with them, and there isn't nothing more sad than a mama cow crying over her calf being taken away. 🐄

The children of farmers are lucky to have bonding experiences with animals. I don't know if any official sources recognize this knowledge of how the world works as a valuable part of an education, but to me it's an understanding of life a person can never get from a book. Black sheep

You riding on the cow reminds me....

My sons family on their father's side were pure country farmers.  The three littlest of the children rode a cow to school every day in rain or snow to keep them dry or keep them out of the mud.  The cow would forage in the school yard until school was over to carry them back home.  The bigger ones just had to walk.  Actually there were eleven of them including three sets of twins.
