Thank you for this. I didn't even realize I have the 17.1-whatever and I did turn off the Name Drop.

Someone on my FB page left this comment:
How To Disable NameDrop. To disable, go to "SETTINGS," then tap "GENERAL." Once you are on the next screen, click "AIR DROP" and turn off the option for "BRINGING DEVICES TOGETHER." According to Apple, the feature is also on Apple Watches

I don't like that idea at all. Oh if you really want family members to all have the same contacts or you want your kids contacts; great but well I always keep mine in my hand bag.
