That's definitely a turn of events that lead to a big what-if moment. I wonder what became of her. It is a shame that people were not supportive of you at the time. Having known some people who are adoptees, I can see that they can be loved and feel every sense of belonging.

Children are adaptable. You couldn't help be a good mom. But if it
wasn't meant to be... I know you've sent prayers for her to have a happy life, and she is probably a grandmother now, surrounded by family.

I approached my hubby once with the idea of adopting a little girl to go with our four boys. He was horrified at the idea, so I dropped it.

Good afternoon
I imagine that it would be hard for a foreign child to start over in a new country, especially when they can't understand anything that people are saying, and nobody else really looks like them, but I have heard that children are resilient. They do definitely understand love and that is something that she would have had from you.
