Reminds me of a distant memory. I had a roommate "Shane". I was having my beloved Yorkie Rhiley trained. One day he came home with a reward certificate for "fastest sit". So Shane thought it would be funny to add an h.

Kabu, I love this breed too. Sadie is so intelligent but I will say she has a bit of a stubborn streak in her. I'm hoping training changes that.

C_C_T, I'm not sure about training cats but I will say the instructors that train dogs really know what they are doing and I think they love it too.

if you can, I would keep the trainiing going at this stage. Border Collies are so intelligent and she will be capable of anything you want her to do and be. I adore this breed, and they have an enormous capacity to love.

Good training makes for a good dog. They know what is expected
and learn to relate to their person as they go - I understand a dog understands human language at about the same level as a human two-year-old.

I suppose some dogs never get a training project. I am sure it must be a good
thing. I don't know if one can train cats, but I would not want to try.

I love it that she is going to get a diploma for jumping. Reminds me of my jumping rope days. Never got a diploma, but I got a dollar bill the day I jumped to l,000 without missing. Wish I could do that now. LOL
