I can't remember ever any fights over politics in our family...I had one once with my dad and would not ever again...i could have a family splitting fight with my Sister but at our age what is the point.

I forgot to add that we are coming home to a Father's Day cookout with our kids. I hope that your boys enjoy their trip and arrive safely. Highway driving has become really scary with people exceeding the speed limits by over 20 to 30 mph.

Good afternoon
Smart advice. I have learned that talking politics is never a good idea with there being so many different views on how people feel. It just isn't a safe topic. As for the travel, we are headed south this week. I am heading home to Delaware to meet my older sister for the first time. I also plan to feast on as much crab as one human can possibly eat.

I've also quit traveling - mostly to health constraints and gut issues.
These days I explore the inside of a big box store to get in a bit of exercise, and find it best not to discuss politics because - especially on FB and other online sites - people tend to get really mean and aggressive. I hope your boys have a wonderful Father's Day gathering.
