Re: Taps

I expect the view was captured previously. Although it has not changed much.

No one can hide these days. Well, I suppose one has to have the address. I think

one has to keep working if one is used to doing it, or one would become chair bound.

Re: IPat

Yes, Pat Strawberry picking:,  tough on the knees. A lot of strawberries are grown off the ground now. I don't like the old-fashioned way one toilet stuck at the end of the field.

Re: Good morning Sherri

Sherri my brother rarely cooks potatoes, he says they are fattening. Anyway I am growing some this year, I like young ones in butter.

I am sorry about that shilling. my goodness but way back a shilling really was worth something. Mpther used to give us 3 pennies each and that would buy a paper bag of sweets[lollies] each of us.

You are one of the most active people I know. I admire your ability to do so.

Good morning

Hoeing is hard work, and now I am suddenly hungry for some mashed potatoes.

I know the tea in the lap and the wait for the chair to dry must have been

frustrating. I can so identify with the potato pickers. Worked a few summers picking strawberries at five cents a quart, crawling along on knees soon caked with dirt. Not as heavy a load on the back as potatoes, though. You write so clearly I can see the picture, the old tractor, the boys leaning into the weight...

I can remember my sisters and I picking potatoes from my Dad's garden.  I also remember picking greenbeans and tomatoes, when I was young.  "Ah, woeful when!"

I looked down on you today from up above.  All your trees were leafy green, your gardens, the roof of your house, the wall...but I didn't see you.  I was thinking about you and wondering if you were working too hard.  Once you sent me "Chumpit" and I kept your address,  I looked up your address on google maps and there you were, or at least your property.  I liked your blog today.
