Your house sounds like there is quite a bit of square footage involved, making it possible to enlarge rooms as you please. Three bathrooms are nice to have, especially when entertaining during the holidays.

Sounds lovely. I have been working on my little teepee for about 8 years. So many ideas. It has gone from old hunting cabin, to my low maintenance home. So great to have these ideas running around in my brain
But with me about 20 percent will actually happen.

Kabu, this sounds so exciting! I think it would be so much fun to plan a renovation like you and Jim want but I do believe it would be expensive. I'm sure at times your house would be a mess but the end result would be worth it.

I remember years ago when we (my hubby & I) decided to completely re-do our kitchen. I definitely agree that the planning is the fun part....everything else was as real drag. But it is similar to the pain of having a baby. Once he/she is born one forgets the painful part in enjoying the newborn.

I love to watch those renovation shows where an ordinary small
bathroom becomes a fantastic spa! But it would be inconvenient to live in the space while the reno is going on. It would probably add to your home's resale value, too. But where will you go while the work's being done?
