It seems to me that all human beings are, and always have been slaves to something or someone ever since the banishment from the garden of Eden. I am a voracious reader of such as this.

We've been reading that dystopian view of the future (of AI) for
as long as I've been reading science fiction - more than 60 years. I prefer the Star Trek view, that humans of various races can work with AI, and with one another for the good of all. Perhaps I'm fooling myself, considering today's political mess.
