We've had watches and warnings here late last week, too. A
tornado touched down and did some damage in the town of Salem, not far from here, and across the river in Missouri it created havoc. Weather over the past few years has often been more dangerous than I can remember from previous times. If you don't already have a refuge or safe area in your home, it wouldn't hurt to add that to your master plan.
