Re: Re: Taps

Of course.  Dad's were always witty and cute and funny and I'm certain he intended for everyone to read them.  Mom's were always sweet and beautiful.  It made me sad that my husband never ever wrote me a poem either before or after we were married.  He was not a poetic fellow.  Neither would he dance or even try to dance.  And he didn't laugh much.  But I loved him for what he was.

You still know how to use a tooth-brush, I hope the contractors do.

Re: Taps

I doubt if many would do it these days, a lovely method. I bet you all read them.

My Daddy (called Slim by so many) wrote poems and witty sayings.  He didn't have a computer though to share them with everyone.  He would write his poems and tape them to the refrigerator in the kitchen.  Then my mom would write a return bit of poetry and tape it up beside his.  It was fun to watch them communicate in that way.

Good morning

Getting older has a very big price for too many people. The mind is not always as sharp as it once was.
