I learned about that phenomenon back when I was a teen and studying about the horrible New Madrid earthquakes in Missouri in the early 1800's that made the Mississippi River run backwards.  The animals were acting crazy before it began shaking.  Since I've always lived in Missouri we were always warned that this one could go again.

Oh I agree; like some animals get very restless before a storm, they are way more tuned into the real world, that of nature, than we are. maybe back when we lived in caves perhaps we were tuned into the World. I will never know but probably they were more concerned with the fact a family of Neanderthals had moved into a near by cave than they were of an earthquake; maybe. I do know old time Farming people who relied on the weather and nature to survive were way more aware than city people.

Good afternoon

Animals are funny that way. They show unusual behavior when things are not right. We just have to take the time to notice.

We have probably lost the feel of the planet. The sound as it revolves mingled with

the disturbances far beneath our busy lives. Perhaps all sounds of the unknown were discounted as we became into being.
