"Lying" to stay alive is something that I can forgive. Lying with the idea for personal gain is something I can't abide.

It may mean very different things to most people. One had to learn to lie in W.W.2. I was pretty efficent at learning to say No bananas or tins of salmon to customers who did not buy general goods. Although I would put a wick in their oil stove for free.
