I am always impressed by the contractors - arborists - who take out
or trim trees that have become dangerous. They use bucket lifts, take out the tops in sections, lower them to the ground and usually within a couple or three hours, they have run the branches through a grinder, cut the trunk down to the ground, and sometimes they even grind out the stump and exposed roots. Worth every nickel they charge.

That sounds like a major job. Through the years here at this apartment complex I have watched several very large old, old trees be removed for various reasons. It's quite fascinating to watch, but I stay out of the way.
