Yes Pat to think that once we just had an oil stove and a fire . Think back to 1947
the snow was piled over the hedges we put chains on the old van and delivered
goods and parifin to local villages ,

Well Taps I recently bought a really hard mattress as I could not, well hardly push
myself up on my soft one. Crikey! I had to put a duvet on top.

I am forever tossing blankets on the bed, or taking them off. I can't seem to get it just right. These days I seem to be more likely to make it through the night without doing that if I just sleep in my recliner.

Scary thought! Losing electrical power, the furnace operating on a
thermostat, heat coming from the registers. I'm so happy you're going to be warm and cozy again. As for finding a good woman, wrinkly we hope with smile lines around the eyes and a few well-learned recipes, that, too, is an outcome devoutly to be wished.

Lol, did someone mention wrinkles? They appear to come with age and not many escape their face stamp. Some are called laugh lines, others are crow's feet, and the rest are just plain hideous!
