C_C_T, Kabu's gnomes have been so good. I have no complaints about them. They have a busy day working in the garden today. They will be tired by tonight.

Leaves make good compost, well not all I think Walnut tree leaves have something that inhibits plant growth. Keep Kabu's Gnomes busy, some of them were real little rascals once.

Sherri, I can just imagine all the activity in your yard. What a feast they are having! I think your dinner sounds delicious. Please share your hamburger vegetable soup recipe. It sounds delicious on a cold day. I hope you all have fun shopping tomorrow.

When I was at Wally World yesterday, I saw a troop of gnomes
outfitted in black and white for Halloween. They seemed quite content on the shelf between some carvable styrofoam pumkins and stacked bags of candy corn. I was looking for a big string spiderweb with a baseball-sized 8-legged arachnid to hang between the posts on my front porch, but couldn't find such a thing. Maybe I'll have to spin a web myself....

Good morning
It's chilly here this morning too. The house is quiet, but the yard is full of activity with the squirrels, chipmunks, and the massive variety of birds feasting on the seeds and nuts that I put out earlier. I plan to make dinner easy today too. A few days ago I made a batch of pesto, so I plan to toss it with some cooked rotini pasta, parmesan cheese, and some snow peas. I am serving it alongside spicy chicken nuggets with a side of honey mustard dipping sauce. Tacos, nachos, or enchiladas usually make it to our table each week too. This coming week I am planning on making a roast with mashed potatoes and gravy. John also requested my hamburger vegetable soup. He takes it for lunch as a side with his roast beef sandwich. I don't know how he does it. If I ate like that, I wouldn't be able to work. Anyway, have a wonderful weekend. Joni, Chloe, and I are heading to a crystal store tomorrow.
