The cornbread you mentioned in one of your previous posts sounds good. If you try it and it works out, could you maybe post the recipe? Be carefful with that bum leg. Hot weather will probably aggravate it.The romance with your little people is so cute!

How lovely to have a Romance bloom like this. I think when Gnomes fall in love they seem to stay in love and close together for always.

C_C_T, I know it's been hot where you are but I'm hoping it cools off soon. My gnomes take a shower every night and they do have deodorant. When it gets too hot my gnomes come inside. Try to stay cool during this heat wave.

Taps, my grandchildren live close but they are always so busy with sports, school, seeing friends, and the older ones have jobs so I'm happy when I do get to see them.

The gnomes appear to be able to stand the heat. I have never seen one sweat although I expect you treat them with a nice deodorant. Really you are lucky to have grass to cut it is all brown here, hose pipe ban looming.

Sorry you are having all that heat, and glad for your rain! It's been up in the 90s here, will be today, as well, and just maybe thunderstorms to cool the afternoon. I am so hopingThey are right about that this time!

I'm afraid that I have always been plagued with not seeing my grandchildren often enough. Only one out of 11 of them has always lived here in Kansas City, MO. Florida Son left K.C. for a good job in the Orlando area and all of his children (6 if them) were born and raised there. Four of my grandchildren were born and raised in Portland, OR. I have always been thankful for modern ways of communication.

Our high temp yesterday was 98, and a bit cooler on my shady porch, but
it hit 103 in this area, and humid as an Amazon jungle. Breathing out there is a bit of a struggle. It's supposed to be even hotter and steamier here today. I do hope your gnome romance works out for all concerned, breaking up makes for a tense situation all around.

Good morning
We must be on different times for the Food Network. I don't get the Pioneer Woman until 10 or 11 today. Ina Garten is on from 7 to 8 on Saturdays and then the Kitchen. My favorite day to watch it is on Sunday mornings. Our rain is supposed to come later today, after little John's birthday party, so that should work out well. That was a nice treat for you as well as a good visit. I enjoy McDonald's once in a great while.
