Shade is so welcome on those summer scorchers. I'm glad I have a lot of trees around my house.

Good morning

One day at a time. Aging comes with aches, pains, and slowing down to a comfortable stage of movement that our body allows. After standing all day at the stove and sink I about dropped when the day finally ended. Have a great day.

Yes but you must remember once at your age folk just sat in chairs nearly all day.

Did a bit of rug poking, and the old man would rub a bit of baccy into shreds or put a

pair of thongs in his boots, wonder where they could get a rabbit for dinner.

Perhaps old Ted the poacher would get one for Sunday. Not much news around as

they both had a job to read the paper. Perhaps the milkman could get a pair for

sixpence from Woolworths. Well you were twinkle.

Good Morning

Kabu, I hope you have a wonderful day.  Stay cool and enjoy summer from your 4-season room.  I usually watch the birds from my kitchen window.  Sometimes the hummingbirds gather on my clothesline and that makes me smile.  I wonder what they are talking about?  On really hot days we have the water fountain going for the birds.  It's so much fun to watch.  It's solar operated and recharges with the sun.  I cannot seem to get rid of my psychotic black squirrel.  He thinks he lives here now.  Roy said I'm going to have to shut the dining room window.  Roy's afraid he's going to start scratching the screen.

I think you and I are similar in many ways.  One of the things I am so thankful for at this time in my life is that I have a big glass door that looks out upon trees and grass and the beautiful colors of the setting sun and the colors of the beginning of a new day, and the chirping birdies, and my favorite relaxing recliner chair is facing all that.  I sit there a lot enjoying it all but I am so thankful I still have the energy to get up and down all day long by myself to do other things also.  God is good.
