Go to Life in the fast lane--where's the on ramp?

- Go to THANKS, MOM
Their lives were difficult, and it pains me to see that some are trying to turn women back to that era. Shame on them! And bigger shame to the women who support that way of thinking. I am happy you have made peace with the way your mom acted, mostly because she didn't have a lot of choice, or didn't realize there was a choice.

Good Afternoon
Pat, I think when we are young we never think about what our parents have gone through in their lives. I have to smile when I hear what my children think about growing up. I hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day!

Re: Thank you, CCT - Your kindness shines through, so it seems
we learned what was most important at our mothers' knee after all.

Of course, having read your book and always felt your Mother did the best she could
for her family. Sadly Pat as my Mother once told me had never known love as a child
. It made it difficult to be other than efficient, I expect a lot of women were not
shown much love as a child and sadly at times through life.
