The storm I was expecting this time turned a bit south and the extreme
winds and rumbling thunder more or less bypassed us. I hope they don't wreak havoc anywhere, thankful that I didn't have to spend time hunkered down in the basement.

We are here for such a short time but I guess we all do damage to the environment.
