Went through that with my dogs - still have it to some extent but not as badly. It takes them awhile to adapt, and some things we just have to accept and watch out for. My son shut his young cat away in a room by itself at night for the first few weeks, until it ettled down and realized some things (like attacking people in bed) is NOT done.

Mr Graysome always ,even at 14 ,takes play with us too far and bites or scratches. He also will never snuggle on the lap. He will lie on me when I am sasleep but I am under the blanket so there is no physical touch. i hink ou have somehing righ when ou menion PTSD Graysome is of course a rescue kitty too.
