I started taking photos over sixty years ago, and I've never stopped. Most of my early stuff was lost (after months of scanning photos into a digital form) when a SERVER crashed and destroyed itself. Computers can crash, but that is a rare event when a server crashes. I figure I lost close to a million-plus photos. Between my nature shots and over ten seasons of racing photos, it all went bye-bye. That is why I pay for Dropbox. It is backed up every few minutes across multiple servers. You might lose A server, but you will never (or shouldn't!) lose all of the other five servers.
I hope to do more Florida photos to replace the ones I lost in the server crash soon. This house will take up most of this spring and early summer. After that, we will traverse the state, Nikons in hand!
