Re: Re:
I put them straight in the large pot.
Mostly, I got greens, not bulbs of garlic, but I didn't keep them going for very long.

Re:
C_C_T, I'm so glad you are back. I was picturing you relaxing and drinking a cup of hot tea. I look forward to seeing the tunnel.

Re:
adnohr, I thought that's what they did to get the beer green. It's kinda cool to see it. I love cheese grits. I did see where some people put bacon in their grits but I've never had it like that

I have had green beer and it was no different than any other - just food coloring was added to give it the color. Do you put cheese in your grits?

Pat, I've never had a green beer. I'm not a drinker but it does sound like fun on St. Patrick's day. Have you ever tried it and if so did you like it?

Taps, I think I can remember family members telling me that way back we had a grandma that was Irish. My father's family was from Czechoslovakia and my Mom's family was from England so that's all I know. My son-in-law is Irish.

Ciel, I don't think Roy has tried planting individual cloves in the soil but I'm going to tell him about it. Did you put them in large pots or in the ground?

Re: Good morning
Sassy, we have chives that come up every year. They are so good. I've never planted dill. What do you use it in?

Sounds like you're finally getting a break with the weather. Nice to have
it warm and sunny for St. Patrick's day and the parades, etc. Did you ever drink green beer for St. Paddy's day?

Are you of Irish descent? My Dad was part Scotch-Irish. He loved to sing "Oh Danny Boy"

Love those balmy days! We get two more wintery days this week, but mostly mild to next week.
Last summer I planted garlic by sticking individual cloves in the soil. They grew pretty fast!

That's wonderful about the parade. It's another sign of a return to normalcy.

We ate grits almost every morning when we visited New Orleans. I love them with shrimp. John was not a fan of grits. They sent him straight to the porcelain throne.

Good morning
Yes! I also love watching my new plants grow from seeds. My raised bed where I grow my herbs is begging for attention, but I don't trust the weather as of yet. I cannot wait for the time to come when I can plant my new herbs. This year I am adding dill and parsley to my herb garden. Last year my rosemary, basil, thyme, mint, lavender, and chives did well.
