Re:

FSI, I like Costco because they have so many different items to choose from.  They are kind of like Sam's club.

Re:

adnohr, my kids and grandkids go to the kitchen counter to see what's good.  I always have something they like in the house.

Annicita, I want to make some.  It sounds really good.

I have never been to a Costco in my life. I'm aware of them, but there are none near me.

The first thing my kids or grandkids do when they come into the house is make their way to the corner counter where the snacks are. My beasts do that too. I can imagine that the gnomes are pretty active after a wwinter hibernation!

We don't have any children visiting but we always have snacks in our house too.

Re: Yum!

Sassy, thanks for the recipe.  I'm going to try it.  I hope we can find basil plants this year.  I love basil.

We have a freezer full.

When I make pasta dishes with my homemade spaghetti sauce, John adds a dollop of pesto to his. It is delish!

Yum!

Basil pesto is made from basil, pinenuts, sunflowers, or your favorite nut, fresh garlic, olive oil, and parmesan cheese. I make a large batch from my basil plant and freeze it. Sunflowers are similar in taste to pinenuts but cheaper.

2 cups basil leaves
3⁄4 cup parmesan cheese (grated)
3⁄4 cup olive oil (I use Extra-Virgin)
3 garlic cloves
1⁄4 cup pine nuts or sunflower seeds

Toss the mix into the food processor and serve over cooked pasta.

Good afternoon

I am happy to say that the snow ended about 20 minutes ago, replaced by rain. It is a chilly and dreary day, but I know that spring is just around the corner, so I am putting a blind eye on this weather mishap.

Re: Not sorry to miss the snow, but it would have been interesting to

Pat, it was a good negotiation as far as what I thought but I think Sgt Mulberry was glad when it was over.  My fairies will be happy though.

Not sorry to miss the snow, but it would have been interesting to

sit alongside while you and your Captain in Charge of the Gnomes, the mighty McV, negotiated the deal with the fairies...
